1. Who we are

LeoScape is a landscape design and proposal software service operated by LeoScape ("LeoScape", "we", "us", or "our"), based in the United States.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account information: your email address and password (or Google account info if you sign in with Google).
• Payment information: processed by Stripe. We don't store your card details on our servers — Stripe handles all payment data and is PCI-compliant.
• Profile and business info: company name, contact phone/email, and logo, if you choose to upload them.
• Project content: the landscape designs, satellite pins, photos, crew rosters, and other content you create using LeoScape.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data: general technical information like browser type, IP address, and how you interact with LeoScape, used for security, debugging, and improving the service.
• Session cookies: needed to keep you signed in. These are first-party only — we don't use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.

3. How we use your information

We use your information only to:

• Provide and maintain the LeoScape service
• Authenticate you and keep your account secure
• Process subscription payments and renewals
• Send you important service messages (account confirmations, payment receipts, security alerts)
• Respond to your questions and provide customer support
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your information to serve ads, train AI models, or sell to third parties.

4. How we share your information

LeoScape works by relying on a small number of trusted service providers. We share only the data necessary for each service to do its job:

• Supabase (database and authentication) — stores your account, projects, crew data, and settings. Supabase privacy policy.
• Stripe (payment processing) — handles your subscription and payment data. Stripe privacy policy.
• Netlify (hosting and infrastructure) — serves the LeoScape website. Netlify privacy policy.
• Google (if you sign in with Google) — only your name, email, and profile picture are shared with us, and only for authentication. Google privacy policy.

We may also disclose your information if required to comply with valid legal processes (subpoena, court order, etc.) or to protect the safety of our users or the public.

5. How we protect your information

We take security seriously. Among other measures:

• All data is transmitted over HTTPS / TLS encryption.
• Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
• Database access is restricted via Row-Level Security, so users can only access their own data.
• Payment data is handled directly by Stripe — we never see or store full card numbers.

That said, no system is 100% secure. If we ever become aware of a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you promptly.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correct — update or correct your information at any time in your account settings
• Delete — request that we delete your account and associated data
• Export — export your projects as JSON files at any time
• Opt out — cancel your subscription, which you can do directly through the Stripe customer portal accessible inside the app

If you're in California (CCPA)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, you have additional rights including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to opt out of any "sale" of your information. We do not sell your personal information.

If you're in the EU/EEA/UK (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. The lawful basis for processing your data is either (a) your consent or (b) the contract between us when you sign up for LeoScape.

7. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we keep your account and project data for 90 days in case you decide to come back, then permanently delete it. You can request immediate deletion at any time by emailing us.

We may retain limited records (like payment history) longer if required by law (typically 7 years for tax and accounting purposes).

8. Children's privacy

LeoScape is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. International data transfers

LeoScape's services are operated from the United States. If you access LeoScape from outside the US, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the US. By using LeoScape, you consent to this transfer.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of LeoScape after a change means you accept the updated policy.
